Vision Advocacy
Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)
|
IMHA’s can help patients obtain information about the reasons for their treatment. The rights people have in relation to them according to the Mental Health Act. Help patient’s explore options, make better informed decisions and are involved in the development of their care and treatment plans.
Ensuring patients views are heard, which can include representing or speaking on their behalf.
If a patient is so unwell they are unable to tell the IMHA what they want, the IMHA can try to help by ensuring that the patient’s wishes and rights are respected. |
