Bolton Advocacy for Mental Health

We provide an advocacy service for people who experience mental health problems and carers of people with mental health problems. Advocacy is as valuable for people suffering dementia as it is for those with other mental health issues such as depression and schizophrenia.
Advocates can help you explore your options, provide you with information and help you in your choices. Advocates can attend appointments with you such as tribunals, reviews and ward rounds. They can help you make your wishes and opinions heard.
The service offers immediate response work, dealing with the priority issue and longer term work, in the community or at hospital.
